Positive Behavior Intervention and Support

Alford PBIS Mission Statement:

To create, maintain, and model an effective learning environment by establishing behavioral supports and the social culture needed for all students in our school to achieve social, emotional, and academic success.

Three Major components of PBIS:

1. Teaching appropriate behavior in all settings. (Teach, model and practice what those behaviors look like, sound like, and feel like.)
2. Interventions when behavior expectations are not met.
3. Recognition when behaviors are met.
